What Does God See in Your Soul’s X-Ray?

When you visit the doctor for an x-ray, it reveals hidden problems—maybe a broken bone or something more serious like cancer. It’s a powerful tool that shows what’s wrong inside our bodies. Now, imagine an x-ray that could do more than just show your physical state. What if it could reveal your soul’s condition?

The X-Ray of the Soul

Picture this: an x-ray not of bones, but of the soul—showing all the wrong things we’ve done, our sins. Instead of fractures, you’d see dark marks—mistakes, regrets, things we wish we could undo. These dark spots spread like a disease, making it impossible for us to have a “clean” soul by our own efforts.

God’s Perfect X-Ray

Now, think about God’s x-ray. If you could see it, it would be perfectly clear—no dark marks, no flaws. Why? Because God is perfect and without sin. In His perfect nature, He can’t allow sin to enter heaven. To be with God, our soul’s x-ray would need to be just as clear.

But here’s the issue: everyone has dark marks. We’ve all sinned, and no matter how hard we try, we can’t make our x-ray as spotless as God’s.

Enter Jesus: The Great Healer

This is where Jesus steps in. He offers us something that we can’t get on our own—a clean, flawless x-ray. When it’s time to stand before God, Jesus says, “Let me take your sins away.” He hands over His x-ray—completely free of any marks, because He lived a sinless life.

When God looks at Jesus’ perfect x-ray instead of ours, He sees no sin, only perfection. And because of this, we are welcomed into heaven—not because of anything we’ve done, but because of what Jesus did for us.

Saved by Grace, Not by Works

This is what it means to be saved by grace. It’s not about earning a spotless x-ray or trying to fix our souls on our own. It’s about accepting the perfect one that Jesus offers.

If you’re ready to accept that gift, know that you don’t have to clean yourself up before coming to God. Jesus has already done the work for you. All you have to do is receive it.

Final Thoughts

We can’t erase the dark marks on our soul’s x-ray. But through Jesus, we can receive a perfect one. It’s the ultimate gift of grace. Will you accept it?
